The Cooper model, which is the base version, makes use of a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that makes 134 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft of torque. This engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for FWD versions, which makes 26 city/33 hwy mpg while AWD models use an eight-speed automatic transmission and return 23 city/30 hwy mpg.

For the Cooper S, you’ll find a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that provides 189 horsepower and 206 lb.-ft. of torque. You’ll find 24 city/33 hwy mpg in FWD versions and 23 city/31 hwy mpg for AWD models. The transmission setup for this model is the same as the base version.

Choose the Cooper SE ALL4, and you’re going to have a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine plus an electric motor to enjoy 224 horsepower and 284 lb.-ft. of torque. You can drive this vehicle for 17 miles only using electric power.

The John Cooper Works version of the Mini Countryman is the most powerful. This model uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 301 horsepower and 331 lb.-ft. of torque. For this SUV, you’ll enjoy 23 city/30 hwy mpg.
