Rearview Mirror: Auto Stock Performance 2/1-2/5

Let’s take a look in the rearview mirror to see how our favorite auto stock prices performed last week to see the gains and losses.

This segment has given us some ups and downs and allowed us to see the movement of a few different companies that are part of the automotive world. With that in mind, let’s get into the seven stocks we’ve been following so far this year.

Nio Inc. (NIO)

Nio is one of our favorite stocks in the electric market and it opened the week at $57.25 before dipping below $56.00 quickly. Through Tuesday and into Wednesday the price stayed fairly level before moving up on Wednesday to a high for the week of $58.37. The final price at the Friday closing for Nio was $56.67, which shows a bit of a loss for the week.

Ferrari (RACE)

The starting point for Ferrari was $211.18 but this was the only time this auto stock was this high all week. Ferrari dropped on Tuesday and then opened on Wednesday at only barely over $200.00 per share. The price dropped well below that mark before making some of a recovery to end the week at $202.68, giving you a loss for the week.

General Motors (GM)

If you were following the auto stock price of GM last week, you’ll see this was one company that showed an increase for every day. The starting point was $52.34 and it slowly moved upward all week long to give us a continued steady growth. By the end of the day on Friday, the price reached $54.41 per share.

Toyota Motor Corp. (TM)

The Harley-Davidson stock price opened at $33.17 last week but immediately dropped before working its way back up throughout the week. Friday this stock opened at $31.86, which was the low point for the week, but by the end of the day, it reached $33.69 to show an overall increase for the week.
