We’re expecting a new Ford Explorer to be offered for the 2020 model year to give us an upgraded and improved drive in an SUV that we’ve known for a long time. The new cabin of this SUV gives us a better idea of where Ford is heading with their all-SUV lineup that will be part of the future of the brand. The departure from the previous interior is evident, making this an exciting new interior that gives us an idea of what to expect when the new lineup arrives for us to have what we want from Ford.
What do We See in this Ford
Just a peek inside of the new Explorer gives us a look at a new center stack. The old upright version is gone and replaced by one that’s more horizontal in nature with a massive center screen that splits the center air vents. The overall design of this interior is less curvy everywhere around the cabin to give it a more substantial appearance. In the middle, there’s more storage space which is the result of the new rotary gear selector that makes it easy to have the additional space needed.
This Clean and Airy Look has More
The new clean lines look great and the overall appearance of the new 2020 Explorer is airier than in the past. The overall feeling is that the SUV is larger than it was in the past and is certainly larger than it has been before, but that’s just the feeling. The Explorers is an excellent SUV for you to enjoy when you’re ready to drive. We can expect this new model to have an improved infotainment system with this new and larger screen to give you the electronics you’re looking for.
Feel the Luxury of the Drive
The photos taken of the new interior of the Explorer also give us the idea that the trim that was being used is the Platinum trim. The presence of wood and brown leather suggest this and allow us to see that this could be the cabin that we want to enjoy when we’re looking for more comfort and style in the cabin. Eventually, we’ll see what all the trim levels will offer for the drive, but for now, the excitement is due to the look inside the new Ford Explorer that can be exactly what we want in the future.
Will this Interior Make its Way to Other Models
The expectation is that we’ll see the elements of this new interior design found across the SUV-heavy lineup of Ford in the future. Other changes we might see in the future include the possibility of the engine that’s being used in the Lincoln Navigator to find its way to the Ford Expedition for the future of the drive we want to have in the largest model from Ford. We’re going to see a lot of changes in the Ford lineup going forward and the Explorer will be the first of many.
