The Audi e-tron is now offered with a Sportback variant that can make it easy for you to have the drive you’re looking for.
The plan from Audi is to build 20 new EV models by 2025 to give you a variety of models that all use either hybrid or pure electricity for the drive. Sportback is the word that Audi likes to use for a crossover with a rear end that has a swoopy shape to give you the long roofline that you can enjoy when you look at it. This vehicle has a curve from the B-pillar to the rear to give you the style and profile you’ll love.
The Audi e-Tron Sportback with New Features
This new version of the Audi electric crossover that you want to drive brings you a sweet set of new headlights, the Audidigital matrix, and new LEDs which are the first of their kind. These new lights are cut into tiny pixels to be aimed exactly where the light is needed with the use of one million micromirrors that can be moved to direct the light where it’s needed. These mirrors can be moved 5,000 times a second to make sure you have the vision you need when you drive at night.
The Power of the New Audi e-Tron
When the new Audi e-tron Sportback makes its way to the market, it will have 355 horsepower and 414 lb.-ft. of torque to give you plenty of power for the drive. Each axle will use an asynchronous motor to make it easy for this crossover to hit sixty mph in less than 6.6 seconds. There will also be a version offered with 308 horsepower and 398 lb.-ft. of torque to give you a smaller battery pack for your drive. The larger battery pack is good for 277 miles while the smaller makes 216 miles for your driving range.
The Roofline Changes Things
You expect to lose some headroom and cargo room when you have a sloping roofline, but the Audi e-tron Sportback doesn’t cut into this space much at all. The headroom is reduced by less than an inch while the cargo room is down to 58.4 cubic feet with the seats folded down. You’ll see a 12.1-inch upper screen for the MMI system and an 8.6-inch lower screen to handle texting and climate controls. The Audi virtual cockpit is also offered to give you a 12.1-inch screen to offer the readings for the workings of the vehicle.
