As the active roadster that is able to compete with the Mazda MX-5 Miata, the Fiat 124 came to the market to give us something that’s a bit different from what the model from Mazda brings. The Fiat team took the blueprint of the roadster that we have loved for several years and added the Italian style and quality with a bit more performance under the hood to give us a vehicle that can be a lot of fun on the road. Toss in a bit of nostalgia and the upgraded options for the Fiat 124 Spider make it a car that is easy to love.
For the most part, the only negative you could put on the Fiat 124 Spider in the past was the fact that you couldn’t order it with a small group of options. Instead, you had to order a massive number of features, some of which you might not desire, and the price increase would be much more than you might expect for an added package of options. Thankfully, Fiat has changed this to make it much easier for you to have what you want and stay within your desired budget for the car.
How have the options changed?
Previously, if you wanted the Navigation and Sound Group with the SiriusXM you had to choose the Premium Package. This package had the Visibility Group, the Comfort and Convenience Group, and in the Abarth it included leather seats as well. This meant you had to pretty much be all-in if you wanted to have the benefit of SiriusXM satellite radio in your roadster as you drive down the road for the enjoyment of the drive and the listening pleasure you wanted. That made for a choice that could be tough when it comes to the purchase you want to make for this little roadster.
For the updated model, these different groups have all been separated so that you can have the choice of the smaller packages that you want for the drive. This means you’ll be able to save money, or at least not spend as much, and pick and choose the items you want to have for the drive. There are three new colors that have been added to the mix which are Puro Bianco Perla, Grigio Chiaro, and Bleu Scuro. These new colors give you a total of eight for the Lusso models and six for the Abarth with is an impressive increase over last year.
The updated version of the Fiat 124 Spider is made to be a roadster that offers you the fun you’re looking for on the road and with the movement of the options packages to be separated from each other, the shopping experience can be more enjoyable as well.
