The Macan Shows Off in Singapore

Porsche has a long history in the auto racing sport and has been part of some of the most admired races around the world for several decades. With that in mind, this brand chose to dress up some interesting vehicles and take them somewhere to show off the heritage and honor several of the races the brand has participated in over the history of racing around the world. With the history and admiration that Porsche has garnered, it’s not really a surprise they have found a fantastic way to show off and offer respect.
The Porsche Macan is the small SUV that offers a look and a drive that resembles some of the sportiest cars in the Porsche lineup while being more capable and versatile. With that in mind, the team at Porsche has dressed up five special Macan models with sporty racing looks and brought them to Singapore to allow us to see the respect being paid to the integral part this country has been to the history and heritage of racing around the world. Let’s take a look at the different models and what they each represent for racing.

The Macans on Display

Starting with the Holland Village model is a Martini Racing model that offers the iconic look that will amaze you. This SUV is dressed up right and has the racing stripes you associate with the Martini name while giving us a look that’s amazing in this village area. Next, we see the Armenian Street design which is the Rothmans design that pays tribute to the Porsche 956 that showed off at the 1982 Le Mans race. This gorgeous SUV has a blue lower half with a stripe separating it from the white upper half for a gorgeous appearance.

One of the favorites that show up with a fun and playful style is the “Pink Pig” which represents the Chinatown area of Singapore and offers a completely dressed look in pink that also has a label on different parts of the body that associate directly with parts of a pig. The Salzburg design is the one used to represent Ann Siang Hill with a red color and a racing look which was worn by the Porsche 917 KH which was the first of the Porsche models to secure victories at Le Mans and ended up winning the first nineteen titles for the brand.

Finally, the orange and powder blue look of the Gulf model is an iconic color that we all associate with the 1970 and 1971 Le Mans World Champions and the Porsche 917 that was driven in the film Le Mans by Steve McQueen. These five different Macan models are gorgeous and offer us a great way to celebrate the influence that Singapore has had on Porsche and on the motor racing community for many years. This is certainly a fitting tribute and five models that you can look at with awe, admiration, and the remembrance of those fast cars that won so many races.
