When you choose the Kia Niro EV as the model you want to drive, you\u2019ll have 201 horsepower and 291 lb.-ft. of torque. If these numbers sound familiar, it\u2019s because they are the same numbers as what you\u2019ll find in the Hyundai Kona Electric model.<\/p>\n<h2>A Battery of Familiarity in this Kia<\/h2>\n<p>When you\u2019re looking for a car that blends the best of both the Hyundai Ioniq and Kona Electric together, the Kia Niro EV does the job for you. This new EV uses the same 64-kWh lithium-ion battery pack under the floor to give you the same 239 miles of driving range as the Kona. The Niro EV also offers you standard DC fast charging to make it possible to refill the battery to eighty percent in 75 minutes. At home, your 240-volt Level 2 charger will take 9.5 hours to refill the battery when completely depleted.<\/p>\n<h2>Excellent Regenerative Braking from Kia<\/h2>\n<p>The Kia Niro EV brings you four levels of regenerative braking using the steering wheel-mounted paddles that include a brake and hold feature to make it possible for you to bring the car to a full stop. The Smart Regen system can adjust the level of brake regeneration automatically when the vehicle ahead of you begins to slow down. This system puts energy back into the battery pack to allow you to have an additional range of driving when it is time for you to get out on the road for a great drive.<\/p>\n<h2>Different from the Other Niro Models<\/h2>\n<p>When you choose the Niro as the model you want to drive, the EV model of this car gives you a front that looks different from the rest with a closed-off grill, lower air intakes with blue accents, and \u201carrowhead\u201d graphics in the LED daytime running lights.<\/p>\n<p>There are also blue accents that show up on the rear bumper. The wheels are 17-inches in size and offer an impressive level of aerodynamics as well.
