Compact and subcompact SUVs can often be found for affordable prices as brand-new models, but what if you need a midsize or larger SUV? The good news is that the used market is full of great deals on bigger SUVs. Let’s take a look at five different models with affordable prices on the used market.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

2016 Chevrolet Traverse<\/h2>\n

The average price paid for a used Chevrolet Traverse in this model year is between $20,176 and $27,880. The Traverse is a well-rounded midsize SUV that offers top-notch reliability ratings, great safety scores, fantastic cargo capacity, and a quiet interior. New for 2016 was the OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hot spot. The Traverse features seating for seven or eight passengers, a choice between FWD or AWD, and between 281 and 288 horsepower.<\/p>\n

2017 GMC Acadia<\/h2>\n

The used GMC<\/a> Acadia for the 2017 model year has an average price of between $23,219 and $35,842 depending on trim and features. With a combination of solid safety ratings, balanced performance, and user-friendly features, the Acadia ranks high in the midsize SUV class. The Acadia offers a lot of choices as well with a fuel-efficient base engine putting out 193 horsepower and a more performance-oriented engine putting out 310 horsepower. You can also choose between seating for six or seating for seven as well as FWD or AWD. The Acadia was redesigned for 2017, but you can save an additional $2,000 or more if you go back to the 2016 model.<\/p>\n

2016 Ford Flex<\/h2>\n

If you’re looking for a 2016 Ford Flex, you can expect to spend between $20,353 and $26,472, which is quite an affordable price. The Flex is roomy, comfortable, and offers a solid choice of strong performance engines. A rearview camera became standard for this model year as well. The main knock for the Flex is only average reliability ratings compared to the Traverse and Acadia mentioned above. However, the Flex does have a refined ride and sharp handling as well as seating for seven.<\/p>\n

2015 Buick Enclave<\/h2>\n

The average price paid for a used Buick Enclave from this model year is between $20,106 and $24,247. Strong reliability ratings, good safety scores, and a spacious cabin define the Enclave as one of the best entries in the midsize SUV category. The Enclave features seating for seven passengers and a choice between AWD and FWD powertrains. Only one engine is available, and it puts out a respectable 288 horsepower.<\/p>\n
