Feast Your Eyes On The New Acura NSX Type S

Acura went in a completely different direction with its flagship vehicle: the new Acura NSX Type S. This sports car easily stands out.

Usually, the forefront vehicle of any manufacturer’s lineup is something sensible, like a family sedan or full-size SUV.

A Hybrid Sports Car

Anytime someone talks about a sports car, a discussion about what’s under the hood is a must. The new Acura NSX Type S combines a twin-turbo V6 engine with three electric motors to make one of the most powerful hybrid powertrains on the market.

While there is only one trim, you do have a couple of options when it comes to how your powertrain is set up. To get the most out of this car, go with the 600-hp version that can easily get you from a standstill to 60 mpg in just 3.1 seconds. In fact, rumors are that Acura is looking to make 2022 beat three seconds in this race, so we’ll have to keep our eyes open.

The one thing that this sportscar offers that you won’t find anywhere else is the element of surprise. Even with all of this power driving you forward, this car is practically silent when it’s in its electric-only mode.

Your Everyday Super Car

Along with a gorgeous and sporty exterior, the new Acura NSX comes with a plush and comfortable interior. Sure, this sportscar may not be complete with the luxury materials you find in an Audi or McLaren, but it’s also meant to be attainable and is still pretty loaded. Here are just some of the interior comfort and convenience features you can enjoy on the new Acura NSX Type S:

You can also add some pretty serious upgrades to completely personalize this beast:

It’s Hard to Say Goodbye

Believe it or not, the new Acura NSX is the final year of this nameplate’s production. Acura is moving on to bigger and better things, but this model is going out with a bang. The 2022 Acura NSX Type S is a limited edition vehicle that will only have 350 units produced worldwide. Don’t worry, though. 300 of those units will be available in the U.S.

Some may wonder why Acura is discontinuing its flagship car. With Acura’s continued innovation commitment to dreaming big, it makes sense to quit while things are good. As the famous P.S. Barnum once said, “always leave them wanting more.” In this case, it’s best to move on while the new Acura NSX Type S is on top.
