The newest Ford F-150 to hit the scene offers tons of options to make it a truck that can truly be unique to you for the stuff you need done.
From half a dozen powertrains to multiple cabin configurations to a host of trim levels, there are plenty of ways to personalize America’s favorite pickup truck.
Instead of just showing up to your local Ford dealer and accepting whichever model and options they happen to have in stock, you can customize your Ford F-150 to get the exact truck that you need.
Here’s how to create a custom order for your best-Fit Ford F-150:
1. Build & Price To Your Specifications
Start your customization process on Ford’s website or by reaching out to your favorite local Ford dealer. If you’re not sure where to go, the Ford site will help you locate your closest options.
Choose Your Cab
The new Ford F-150 has three cabin choices. Each option impacts how many people can fit into the cab and how they can exit and enter.
- Regular cab: this is a two-door cab option
- SuperCab: this cab has two rows of seating. The rear doors are only accessible after the front doors are open
- SuperCrew: this is essentially a four-door pickup with two rows of seating
Decide on Bed Length
The F-150 also has three bed lengths from which you can choose. It’s best to decide how you plan on using your pickup truck to determine your best bed size.
- Short bed: 5-1/2’
- Medium bed: 6-1/2’
- Long bed: 8’
Pick Out a Model
After you choose our cabin and bed sizes, you’ll see which models are available with that configuration. Not all models are available in every combination. For the most options, check out the SuperCrew with a short bed to unlock eight available models.
You can see what equipment comes standard on each model as you work through the customization tool. That includes knowing which of the six available powertrains will be powering your selected model, along with key tech features and more.
Configure Your Model
Now you can go in and change individual options as available on your model. Start with deciding which of the ten paint colors goes best with your personality. You can also select other exterior options like wheel size, power tailgate, bed trays/liners, tires, and more.
The interior of your next Ford also has customizable options like seat material, floor liners, sound system, work surfaces, and more.
Finally, explore the various engine options that will give you the power you need. While not every engine is available on every configuration, you have plenty of amazing options:
- 3.3-liter V6 offering 290 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque
