Rearview Mirror: How Did Our Seven Favorite Stocks do Last Week?

Another week has passed and we’re ready to take a look at the performance of our seven favorite stocks in the automotive world.

These seven represent the companies we’re following for the first quarter of the calendar year to see how they perform and decide from week to week whether or not these companies are worth investing in. Now, let’s take a look at how they did last week.

NIO Inc. (NIO)

NIO has been up and down while hovering above $40.00 per share most of the time. Last week this stock reached a high of $44.68 on Wednesday and steadily moved downward the rest of the week. In fact, this company saw its stock price dip to $32.62 on Friday before making a slight recovery. The ending price for NIO came in at $38.11, which showed a significant loss for the company.

Ferrari (RACE)

One of our seven favorite stocks to follow this quarter is Ferrari. This stock has found its way above $200.00 per share at times, but mostly spends it’s time between $190 and $195. Last week, we saw this stock reach a high of $194.85 for the week before it dropped down below that $190 mark to give us a low of $184.19 on Friday. Ferrari closed at $188.90 for the end of the week.

General Motors (GM)

General Motors made some serious moves last week, unfortunately, all of them were downward. Similar to the previous two companies, GM was at a high point for the week on Wednesday at a price of $54.42. This stock moved downward and then hit a lot of $50.47 on Thursday. Friday came and saw an upward move for GMC to reach a closing price of $53.75 for the week.

Toyota Motor Company (TM)

Following the rest of the seven favorite stocks so far, Toyota showed its highest price of the week on Wednesday. This price was $149.99. Moving from that point, the price dropped through Thursday to reach $145.55. The rest of the week saw this stock move back upward to a final price for the week at $148.49. Toyota lost a little in the price last week, but not nearly as much as some of the others.

Harley-Davidson (HOG)

The top price of Harley-Davidson last week was $37.40 which was reached on Wednesday. This stock then moved downward and reached its low for the week in the middle of Friday at $33.82.The final price of Harley-Davidson came in at $34.94 at the end of Friday to show another loss in the automotive stock market last week.

Tata Motors (TTM)

One of the seven favorite stocks is Tata Motors. This stock gave us a high price of $23.53 on Wednesday and did nothing but drop downward the rest of the week. Tata finally bottomed out on Friday at $21.48. The final price of this stock came in at $22.32 which was where was saw this company end the week.

Ford (F)

It might surprise you to find that Ford has been at a price just above $10.00 per share for a long time. This is one of our seven favorite stocks this quarter and it made some of the same moves as others last week. The price high was at $12.35 on Wednesday and then reached a low of $11.67 on Thursday. Friday saw some movement upward to a final closing price of $12.27 which means Ford showed the least amount of loss for the week.
