Everything You Need to Know About Roush Mustangs

Just Went You Thought It Couldn’t Get Better

Young drivers around the world dream of owning a Mustang. This sportscar frequents daydreams because it’s known as one of the most powerful cars on the road. What if you found out that there is a more muscular option? That’s where the 2020 Roush Stage 3 Mustang comes into play. Sadly, not everyone knows much about this miracle of manufacturing.

Here’s what you need to know about the 2020 Roush Stage 3 Mustang. Adjust your daydreams appropriately.

What Exactly Is a Roush Stage 3 Mustang?

You’re familiar with how caterpillars enter a cocoon only to emerge some time later as a butterfly. In the same manner, a Mustang is built in a Ford auto plant. Roush purchases this classic roadster and puts it through a metamorphizes of upgrades and improvements.

The 2020 Roush Stage 3 Mustang is based on the Mustang GT. The regular GT is powered by a meaty 5.0-liter engine that produces an impressive 460 horsepower. Roush converts this engine with a Phase 2 Supercharger that pushes the horsepower up to 750 hp. You can also get a Roush Stage 3 with a 6-speed manual transmission instead of the standard 10-speed automatic transmission. For those who with the Shelby GT came in a manual option, your prayers have been answered.

How Else is the Stage 3 Mustang Equipped?

Every Stage 3 comes with three different exterior and three distinct interior package options. You’ll typically enjoy both the Signature and Sport Interior Packages as standard options. Here are some highlights:

• Unique Stage 3 graphics package
• Aero Body Kit
• MagneRide suspension
• Specialized powertrain cooling
• 20-inchFlowform wheels
• ExtremeContact sport tires
• Trunk-mounted toolkit
• Roush key fobs
• Certificate of authenticity

You may also want to explore other add-on packages. For example, the Podium Package comes with GT Brembo Brake Upgrades and a carbon-fiber wing. The Powertrain Cooling package focuses on keeping your powertrain running at its best.

You’ll also notice a variety of Roush-branded parts on the grille, front windshield, fenders, puddle lamps, and license plate frames.

What Does a Stage 3 Mustang Cost?

As you can imagine, the various upgrades and customizations won’t come cheap. The starting price of the Roush Stage 3 is $24,995 on top of the regular Mustang cost. You can then add the various packages that come with different price tags. For example, the Track Interior Package (premium leather seating, billet pedals, and a racing steering wheel) add $1,990 to the price. You can also upgrade various elements of the car, like adding an X-Pipe to the exhaust is an option for an extra $250.

You also have to consider that Roush can only make so many of these special-edition vehicles, which makes the price worth every penny. On average, you can expect to spend around $60,000 at a minimum.

Dream Away

Now that you know there is an entire higher class of vehicle above the Mustang GT, you can adjust those fantasies. Better yet, you can work towards making one of these amazing, special-edition sportscars yours.
