Recently, the brand decided to let us see an aggressive and impressive new Kia Forte model that will make its way to the market.
When you look up and down the Kia lineup, you might wonder why there are some areas where the brand has more than one vehicle to offer you. The subcompact car segment from Kia brings you both the Forte and the Rio to drive, which seems a bit redundant, but the reality is, Kia has things figured out.
SEMA and Kia Work Well Together
While the SEMA show is typically where you see a variety of models that have been modified to be more aggressive and offer a variety of added features for the fun you want to have, this is also a place where Kia chose to unveil a new Forte. The new Kia Forte GT is a vehicle that will offer the sporty driving dynamics we expect from a car that’s wearing the GT name. This little car should be a lot of fun and give us an explanation as to why Kia continues to have two models in this class.
The Power of the Kia Forte GT
The new Kia Forte GT will be powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will produce 201 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. This power level is 54 more horsepower than what you have in the standard Forte. In addition to the added power for this car, you’ll see a variety of sporty features that make a difference on the road including a fully independent front and rear suspension, a sport-tuned exhaust, available 18-inch performance tires, and more for you to have what you want to experience.
Looking Inside this Kia Forte
When you step inside the new Kia Forte GT, you’ll see a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, alloy sport pedals, new two-tone wheels, larger brakes, LED headlights, projector fog lights, a rear spoiler, and the choice between a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic shifter. The sport seats offer you contrast piping to make it possible for you to have the look you want and the feeling you’re going to enjoy on the road. The GT models will be offered with the Kia suite of safety and driver assistance features to help keep you safe on the road.
Offered in Two Versions
When the new Kia Forte GT arrives on the market, the car will be presented in two trims for you to choose from. These trims are GT1 and GT2 and the car will be ready soon. This is a car that offers us the fun and active driving we want from Kia in a small car that’s certainly ready to be the most fun and impressive car for you to have the drive you’re looking for when you head out on the road and experience a great drive.
