Cars We won’t See Any Longer

Several major automakers have decided to make some big lineup changes by discontinuing several models we’re all familiar with.
The automotive industry is always changing. Most of the time we see models that end their run that aren’t replaced in the market, but sometimes we see models deleted that we wish to have continue their run.

After the 2018 model year ended, we were left without some models that we are certainly going to miss. Whether you’re looking for a great car that’s left from that model year or you want to think about why some of these cars were axed, here’s a list of some of the best cars we lost after last year.

Cadillac CT6

The Cadillac CT6 will be one of the many sedans that will not make it through the 2019 model year because GM has chosen to get rid of several models and put their focus elsewhere. Even though the CT6, and others, will be sold to the end of 2019, it counts that 2018 is the year this car and many others were put on the schedule to be deleted.

Chevrolet Impala

Another model that will head to the dumpster is the Impala. This car is in its tenth-generation right now and it has become an iconic nameplate and it has been a gem on the road. As a great car with a long list of luxury features the Impala is certainly a car we’re going to miss as it becomes another casualty of the recent actions by GM.

Chevrolet Cruze

Add another name to the list of the GM slaughter and one of the most popular compact sedan models is also being discontinued to take away another of our favorite choices. The Cruze is a car that recently became a large hatchback with tons of space for the active gear needed to give you the pleasure you want in the outdoors. The Cruze has been a popular compact car, and will surely live on amongst other discontinued models in the used Chevrolet market.

Ford Taurus

We knew early in the 2018 calendar year that Ford was going to kill off its sedan lineup, which includes the large Taurus which has become a slow-selling model over the past few years. At one time, the Taurus was everywhere on the road, but it hasn’t been as successful as it was in the past.

Cadillac ATS Sedan

Cadillac is making huge changes in the market and the ATS was slated to be axed before GM made the announcement to kill off several of the sedans in their portfolio. The ATS was the small sedan that was built to give us an affordable compact Caddy, but it’s no longer filling a need we have in the automotive market.

Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe

When you want fun in a car that’s built to give you the drive of the past, the 4C has been the right choice. The coupe won’t be offered any longer, but the spider, which is the convertible model, will continue to make its way to the market for our enjoyment. There are still a few of these amazing cars at dealership lots for you to purchase and drive.

Ford Fiesta

With the focus of the automotive industry moving toward SUVs, it’s no surprise that a small hatchback from Ford would be one that would be taken out of the market. This car has been a great little compact model for us to enjoy, but it won’t be offered any longer, which means we lose an affordable car and a fun little hot hatch.

Ford Focus

This car was once an icon on the market and it has been built into one of the most impressive hot hatches on the market. Even so, Ford is ready to give this car the axe and won’t build it for the future at all. If you’re looking to drive a Focus, in any form, you need to get to the dealership now and choose the right one to drive.

Chevrolet Volt

Even though the Volt has been the hybrid model that has offered us an excellent level of power and fuel mileage, it won’t be offered any longer. This car has been around, but its time has come and it is one of the models that GM has selected to be deleted from the market in favor of the SUVs that will be part of the mix.

Volkswagen Beetle

The name that has been around for seven decades will no longer be part of the market for 2019. This car has given its final curtain call and it has been the car that has been sold in more numbers than any other in the history of the automotive market. This car is an excellent example of the resilience of a brand.
