When the Suzuki brand pulled its cars and SUVs from the North American market it left a hole at the bottom of the market that was meant for fun. While this brand may not be part of the selection we can have for the drive we want today, it’s important to understand this company has continued to grow and develop models that can be driven in the markets its supports. With that in mind, we need to discuss the Suzuki e-Survivor concept because some of the technology included might just make its way to our shores in a smaller, ATV mode.
The e-Survivor concept is a hard-core SUV that has four wheel-mounted electric motors, transparent doors, two seats and a ladder frame with a T-top style brace that runs down the center of the roof. This vehicle has impressive ground clearance, short overhangs, and no axles to make it an off-road machine that can be one of the most impressive and it carries an electric powertrain for the drive. This vehicle is built to be symmetrical to the point of the rear looking almost exactly the same as the front when you take measurements and look at this vehicle.
Low Cost to Build, Tons of Fun to Drive
Because the e-Survivor concept is a basic off-road model with very few frills, it costs very little to make this SUV and let it operate. It doesn’t appear to be much at all until you see the massive 3D display, the large screen across the windshield, the integrated side-view camera displays, screens on the seats for climate adjustments, an orb that is a bit of a lawn-ornament styled item that offers you a display as well. All these displays make this concept appear to be a vehicle that has the advanced technology that we’re looking for.
The entire screen makes it easy to have the drive you want when you’re ready to head out on the trails or on the road. This impressive Suzuki model may be a concept for now, but it appears to be ready to head to production and all us to enjoy a completely digitized display for nearly everything you see any need for the drive. This little SUV is one that could be a lot of fun on the trails and give you the electric powertrain you’re looking for.
Even though we don’t have Suzuki models sold in the US, this SUV could be the inspiration used to upgrade some of the ATVs and motorcycles we enjoy from this brand. Who knows, we just might see some of the cars and SUV from this brand brought to the market in the near future to let us have some fun on the trails in a vehicle that’s built to have the ground clearance you want. We can only hope that Suzuki might come back to the US, but if not, you can certainly travel abroad and have the fun of the drive in the e-Survivor models offered.
