Apple is Catching Up

Most of us have thought of Apple as being a brand that is ahead of the curve and a leader in the development and production of the products we use on a daily basis. The Apple iPhone is the single greatest-selling smartphone on the market today and with the release of the new iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and the iPhone X there is no more capability than what was offered in the past. If you’re an iPhone customer you’ve been left out when you head out on the roads in the past, but now you’re going to be included.
The development of the connectivity feature of Apple CarPlay in many vehicles has allows you to make use of the apps and music that’s on your iPhone when you drive. The integration has been seamless and now that most iPhone models have a Do Not Disturb feature to help reduce the number of distractions when you’re driving, you feel more confident in the fact that your iPhone is a device that’s been developed to be a lifestyle partner with you on the roads that you travel in all ways except one. You still can’t wirelessly charge your iPhone.

Time to Catch Up

Even though other smartphone companies have made it possible to wirelessly charge phones with the development of the Q9 wireless charging technology that’s been included in the vehicles that we drive. This system makes it easy to place your phone in the cubby or pad that’s offered and know that when you arrive at your destination you’ll have more charge on your battery than what you had when you started the drive. This is a convenience that allows many of us to leave the cords and charging items at home or in our backpack unless you had an older iPhone.
While you might think the wireless charging technology is only being offered in luxury models on the market, that’s not the case. Right now a variety of models are offered that aren’t luxury in nature that has the Qi wireless charging system including the Chevrolet Cruze, Hyundai Ioniq, and Toyota Avalon to name just a few. Of course, you’ll also have a large number of luxury models that do offer this feature when you shop with the brands of Cadillac, Genesis, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, and more that make it easier and more convenient for you to charge your phone in your car.
Now that the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are being offered on the market, you’ll be able to put your phone on the charging pad and let it go to work. You do need to choose a phone that has a glass back in order to allow the charging pad to get to work, but that shouldn’t be a concern with the toughness of the glass on these phones. Ditch your cords or leave them at home when you head out for the day and make use of the Qi charging pad that can now charge up your iPhone.
