Drama is the Name of the Game at Porsche

Porsche Cayenne

If the brand name Porsche didn’t invoke enough feeling of excellence and enough of an interest in anything this brand would put out, Porsche has released one more teaser sketch and video on Vimeo to let us see what their newest version of the Cayenne will be, ahead of its debut. Scheduled to debut on August 29, the new Cayenne will be the next in a long line of SUV models from Porsche that date back farther than most of us realize and it will be one that continues to provide us with what we’ve come to expect from this brand.

A New Goal at Porsche

When the Porsche Cayenne first came to the market the goal was to see if it would catch on and be one of the first purely sports car brands to build a performance-driven SUV. This SUV caught out attention right away and has kept it ever since. In fact, the success of the Cayenne is what brought about the development of the smaller Cayman because the market was calling for more of what was being offered but in a sportier and agiler package.

With the first goal achieved of being a sports car built SUV, the newly redesigned Cayenne is going to feature a gaping new grill look that has a body that’s basically unchanged from the previous models. This new and redeveloped vehicle may not look much different, but Porsche claims the different will be experienced and felt more on the inside rather than from the looks. The goal this time around was to create a vehicle that increases the comfort while also offering more sportiness for the drive, putting the new Cayenne into a category that will be more attractive to those looking for the comfort needed.

If you’ve owned a Cayenne in the past, you’re going to feel like this new model is a familiar choice. The platform has been retained as have the twin-turbocharged V6 and V8 engines that have been found under the hood in the past. The diesel and plug-in hybrid variants will be offered, but not right away. This is a vehicle that Porsche has proudly put through a 2.7-million mile durability testing program that saw it driven in both extreme cold and extreme heat to come out on top as a vehicle that can handle the drive no matter where you need to go.

Where Will the Reveal Take Place

In order to create even more interest and attention around the new Cayenne, Porsche is going to debut this SUV at the Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen headquarters at 9:00 AM CEST on August 29. This will be a live stream of the event which will allow you to be one of the first to see this new SUV and admire what it will be and consider if it’s the one you’re going to want to buy.
While Porsche certainly doesn’t need to create more attention to gain additional respect or interest, the use of today’s modern technology and a bit of a teaser campaign don’t hurt at all. The new Porsche Cayenne will be an SUV that we’ll want to drive and carry the family and the gear that we need with us in a sporty and comfortable vehicle from this well-respected brand.
